From working as a Sound Recordist in Sydney, he leapt into the dynamic marketplace of Hong Kong and thrived. Within a year, he was running MCR* at STAR-TV. (Master Control Room monitoring a dozen channels and return satellite feeds).
Soon after, Matt began Producing and Directing broadcast programming across the globe, and headed Walt Disney Television Asia’s production operation.
Matt moved into the lighting cameraman role, and has received ACS recognition for his dramatic visual work. On a corporate film for Rio Tinto, Matt's coverage and silhouettes of outback mining operations are stunning.
