Returning to the Outback in September, this time Matt was filming the Ford Ranger pick-up truck.
Part of a global rugby-related project, the segments feature fifteen amateur rugby players in fifteen nations. The UK-originated project placed the Ford Ranger alongside the players, at work and play in the various countries.
For Australia, the video/stills/print team travelled from Darwin to Katherine (NT), then on to remote cattle stations following local rugby player and School of the Air teacher, Kim Window.
School of the Air is Australia’s iconic distant education provider, serving kids living in remote settlements and on cattle stations. Historically working via HF radio, the school today broadcasts lessons via broadband internet – and part of Kim’s duties is the fitting and maintenance of the hardware.
A four-day shoot, with many hours on the road.
